Lee Han Lin's Reflective Journal

In this module, Rights in Malaysia, I learned and understand more about the rights of a person and people are equal before the law. There are 9 sub-topics that fall under fundamental liberties. These are very important to me although I am a non-law student. I have chosen the Equality for this assignment as I found it very interesting. For example, the Beatrice Fernandez case, although the article states that all persons are equal before the law and entitled to the equal protection of law but she did not success in her appeal as there is a collective agreement states all the terms and conditions before she joined.  Law is a very special for me, as an issue will not only relate to one topic but also others such as, Employment Act and Contracts Act.

Our lecturer, Ms. Saratha wants us to have more understanding by having the activities such as, class test. She also make up some question on the website named, ‘socrative’ to let us answer. Besides, if we are unable to understand, she is willing to repeat it again and again. We can also make an appointment to meet her for consultation.

There are 8 Taylor’s Graduate Capabilites, discipline specific knowledge, lifelong learning, thinking and problem solving skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills, intrapersonal skills, citizenship and global perspectives and digital literacy. I found it very useful by using these capabilities to completing this assignment.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the lecturer, Ms. Saratha for teaching us this module although it is hard but I found it very interesting. Her teaching skills are just great and I won’t feel sleepy at all in her class.
