Lee Pui Sun's Reflective Journal

I learnt a lot of different rights a person has in Malaysia. I also understand more about the liberty of the person as I was assigned for Article 5 of Federal Constitution. Every person has the freedom to live in their own life, but Article 5 included some conditions for their liberties. I found this assignment interesting, because it helps me to recognize the rights to have for everyone. There are freedom of speech, freedom of religion, equality, liberty of the person, and many more.

I remembered that some activities had been carried out in our tutorial classes. The most memorable one is that, all of us are having a group competition of answering the 16 questions and see which group is the fastest and the most accurate. We also had an “act out” for our tutorial class. The representatives have to draw out the relevant article of Fundamental Liberty to let their own group members guess the other group’s answer. This activity really helps me to understand more by looking at their drawings.

Taylor’s Graduate Capabilities (TGC) was created to enhance university-level education to meet the ever- changing demands of industry, community and globalisation. TGC helps me to improve my communication skills towards my group mates. I think that we still have a long way to learn all of the Fundamental Liberties since there are many cases which we yet to found out, even though we have completed this assignment.

I am having so much fun attending this module. The teaching way from Ms. Saratha does not bore me. She is a friendly lecturer who likes to joke with us. She will try to make the class livelier as she knows we are not major in laws but were required to register this module. Thanks to her, I have no issue of learning Rights in Malaysia.
